"I got this food vacuum sealer for my wife for her birthday. We just tried it out for the first time and we were pleased with how quick and easy it was to get started. The instructions that come with it are really thorough and they have lots of tips on how to pack different types of food items. The steps for sealing were simple and easy to follow, though. To start out we sealed some chicken thighs with one of the pre-made bags that came with the kit. We were surprised by how quickly it sucked the air out and sealed it. When it was finished there was just a tiny bit of space in-between some of the chicken pieces. It was also nice to find out that permanent markers write on the vacuum bags so we can label them and keep track of what's what in our big chest freezer.
One thing we really like about this sealer is that it has a few different sealing options to select from. It's basically just selecting between moist/dry and gentle vs. full power. There's also a seal only option (for making your own custom sized bags) as well as vacuum and seal. We also like that it has a vacuum port and hose for using with other vacuum containers so we have the option to try them at some point. So far we're really happy with this sealer and we're really looking forward to using it to freeze our fresh garden fruits and veggies this summer. " - Jeff G
