"I bought these for the coming zombie apocalypse but I've used them several times for non-zombie emergencies. I was caught in bad weather with my young daughter recently and happened to have one with me. It was large enough to wrap around both of us. It was so much warmer under the blanket than outside and it kept wind, rain and hail off of us. I had to hold on really tight to where it was over our heads and I tucked it under me and it flapped like crazy and made lots of noise which luckily my daughter thought was funny but it held up.
