"First of all, I don't use it very often, maybe twice a week for a few hours each time, and this is the great part, I've only had to fully charge it twice since I bought it, and not because the battery ran out, oh no, just because one of the led's turned off (it has 5 led's indicating battery life, so 5 out of 5 means it's at full charge). The battery life on this thing is amazing.
So how is the sound? I mostly use it outside, and I've never had to turn the volume up to 100%, not even with friends over or with the ambient noise outside. I set it at about 20 feet from where I'm standing and the audio is clear and loud, and it hasn't dropped the signal yet, not even when there are obstructions between my phone and the speaker. Other than listening to music, I like to listen to stand up routines and some podcasts, and I understand every word.
I haven't tested the water proofing on it, but it's good peace of mind to know that it's ipx7 water proof, just in case, you never know when that may come in handy.
So, It sounds just as awesome as it did when I first got it, haven't had any problems with it. The bass sounds better and louder than any other portable Bluetooth speaker I've tried, there may be fuller or richer sound in the mids from other speakers, but overall, you can't go wrong with the Charge 3.
Here's a tip, buy a case for it, they're around 10-13 dollars here on Amazon, I always store it and carry it in it's case when I need to move it, because I'm kind of clumsy and tend to accidentally drop things here and there.
